21st BTU National Competition at The Forest of Arden Golf and Country Club
30th April to 2 May 2026
This year’s competition was a special one—not only was it our turn to host, but it also marked 100 years since the society was formed.
A total of 11 regions took part, making for a strong and competitive field. After Thursday’s practice round, the main competition was held on Friday, followed by the Gala Dinner. Our 2026 Captain, Martin Richards, represented us well with his speech on the night.
Many thanks to Dave Barnard, who kindly took on starter duties—getting everyone underway from early morning through to lunchtime.
Congratulations to the South East region, this year’s winners. We came fourth.
The 2028 competition will be hosted by the Irish regions in Wicklow from 15-17 June. More details to follow. A photo of our this year’s team is below.
